Mixing With  Mandy Vegan Rice and Dahl Curry

Herbs to serve: Coriander or herb of choice

  1. Place bowl onto mixing bowl and weigh lentils into it set aside to soak in a bowl full of water for one hour. Return simmering basket weigh rice into it and set aside in a seperate bowl full of water to soak until ready to use.
  2. Once lentils are soaked rinse and drain set aside! Add onion and garlic to mixing bowl chop 10 sec speed 4 remove and set aside.
  3. Add oil and mustard seeds to mixing bowl 2 minutes Varoma speed 1
  4. Add the onions and garlic back into mixing bowl. 2 minutes Varoma reverse speed 2
  5. Add curry powder,tomatoes, turmeric,salt cook 2 minutes Varoma speed 1.5
  6. Add lentils, 3 cups of water 25 minutes 100c reverse speed, stir
  7. Check dahl is to your liking, season to taste, add 1 additional teaspoon of salt, set aside in thermo serve bowl to keep warm while making the rice.
  8. Wash and dry mixing bowl add rice, oil,salt and water, cook rice mode for 29 minutes. drain rice of extra liquid
  9. Serve dahl with rice garnish with coriander.

    Super easy recipe with ingredients usually on hand. Served ours with some steamed bok choy and crispy kale chips.
